Spiderman - The Other

If there's a turning point in the Spiderman series storyline, The Other would be one of the major event for Spiderman stories.
When spiderman met Morlun, a guy some what like a Vampire that suck spider powers. He was totally out of his mind, frequently hallucinating him around. Seeking help from Dr Strange, with a shocking conclusion that Peter Parker is going to his life's end. Knowing this truth, he spent the rest of his days with the loved ones, Mary Jane and Aunt May. And eventually Morlun manage to find him and beat him to death and attempt to suck all his spider power. Then suddenly the unexpected happens when Peter Parker's inner spider doesn't want to be taken and fight back. Morlun's power was then suck by Peter's inner spider. And then he died, but the story doesn't end here. Peter somehow cocooned himself and then met the inner spider when he is unconscious in the cocoon. The inner spider offer all its power to Peter for he was not using the spider power to the fullest all these years. Then Peter embrace the inner spider, breaking out from a cocoon in a new body and reborn.

" The man died, the spider was reborn. I... was reborned.
So the question is... are you you?
Or are you me?
Are you the man who dreamed of being a spider?
Or the spider dreamed being a man?
Are you the one? Or are you the other?"

For question raised was answered, with new answer raised new doubts.
Peter Parker spider power was explained but who is living as Peter Parker now?
Is it Peter himself? Or the spider in him?

Well storyline was out of the traditional dead hero stories, eventually the writer did some homework and some out with the only Spiderman story's blind spot, is the spider was powered by the radioactive shot or it was already powered originally. Now that's quite an interesting question. From the Other story continues from it and took it further by embracing the inner spider and becoming more powerful. Quite a logical and acceptable upgrade.
